What are National Parks?

National Parks are outdoor areas which are protected under Government Acts so they can be enjoyed by the public for free. They are not only green areas but they can also be areas of sea or freshwater.

These lovely parks are there to protect both wildlife and their habitats as well as the areas of natural beauty.

During the lesson, the children focussed on The Lake District which is one of the 15 parks in the UK.
