Year 4 Blog

  Year 4 leant  some Christmas vocabulary and listened to a Christmas story about Santa who was sick at Christmas. His reindeer collected children in their sleighs. Each child brought Santa a gift - a different Christmas story. They listened to French Christmas carols whilst they completed worksheets. 

 Year 4 practised their number song and the vocabulary for this unit. They then learnt the sentences starter, Je voudrais and used it to ask for a toy, which they then wrote down. They used the language from the last few weeks to have a conversation between a shop assistant and a child, asking for a toy and asking how much it cost. 

 This week the children worked really hard to answer the question posed to them, ‘If an alien visited The United Kingdom how would you describe its human and physical geography?’ There were some amazing pieces of writing and drawings and the children were able to recall the facts they have been learning. Well done year 4. Look out for postcards and dojo points in your books.
