Rivers of The United Kingdom

Image
What a fantastic lesson today learning about ten of the rivers found in The United Kingdom.  Using their ‘sticky knowledge’ the children recalled 5 cities in England. Most could remember 5 and some used the names of football teams to help them remember, although,  Mr Finch wasn’t too impressed when a young man said Manchester as Mr Finch supports Southampton. 😁 After, the children were given ten names of rivers, the children needed to guess which country they could be found even with Mrs Gregory’s bad accents they managed to guess quite a few of them.  From there, the children answered a few questions and then the completed an extension questions.
